Black Shard

A quest weapon that grows more powerful by absorbing weakened enemies. Absorb any unit at 1 or less HP to charge it up — after 20 absorptions it transforms into the Glowing Black Shard. The Black Shard ignores shields and cannot be blocked, and its damage scales with accumulated Charge. Power persists across runs, so the 20 kills need not be completed in a single adventure. Obtained by defeating Zaratana. Part of the Obelisk set.
