Death's Scythe

Death's Scythe is a very rare legendary weapon associated with the Grim Reaper himself. It deals massive dark damage and may instantly kill enemies at low health, applying Death's touch to those already near the end. A fearsome weapon that accelerates enemy demise.

Death's Scythe likely has an execute threshold, where enemies below a certain HP percentage are instantly killed rather than reduced gradually. This makes cleanup after a fight opener far more efficient, turning a two-turn kill into a one-use execution. The scythe may also apply Curse or deal bonus damage to enemies afflicted with negative status effects.

Death's Scythe excels in compositions that can quickly soften enemies to the execute threshold, letting the scythe finish them off efficiently. Necromancer and dark magic builds align thematically and mechanically with the scythe's death element. Pairing it with DoT effects like Bleed or Poison keeps enemies at low HP, setting up frequent executes throughout long encounters.
