Head Grub

An uncommon head armor from The Desert, part of the Grub set. Grants +3 Shield and spawns a Maggot familiar when your shield runs out and the armor breaks.

The Maggot familiar spawned on break acts as an independent combat unit that attacks nearby enemies. Head armor is one of the most targeted slots, so the shield here tends to deplete faster — meaning the Maggot familiar often appears earlier in fights when it's most needed. The familiar spawns once per armor break event, not repeating.

Works well in summoner builds that want more bodies on the field, or simply as insurance in difficult encounters where breaking armor is expected. Pair with the Neck Grub and Face Grub to potentially generate up to three Maggots in a single run of fights.
