Neck Grub

An uncommon neck armor from The Desert, part of the Grub set. Provides +3 Shield and a unique failsafe: when your shield is fully depleted and the armor breaks, it transforms into a Maggot familiar that fights alongside you.

The Maggot familiar spawns when the armor breaks, giving you a combat ally right when your defensive layer disappears. The familiar fights independently and provides additional damage and distraction. This on-break trigger is separate for each Grub piece, meaning all three can spawn Maggots over the course of a hard fight.

Pairs with the Head Grub and Face Grub for up to three Maggot familiars spawned as armor degrades. Best suited for summoner-style builds or characters who expect shields to break in prolonged fights, converting armor attrition into growing combat support.
