Old Extinguisher

An uncommon, once-per-battle consumable that douses all fires in a cone and knocks back anything in range 5 tiles. Excellent for clearing fire tiles created by explosions, the Ember trinket, or Fire Aspect builds — both to protect your own cats from burning tiles and to disrupt enemy fire-based strategies. The Knockback 5 component can also scatter tightly grouped enemies.

Old Extinguisher combines two effects in one cone attack: fire extinguishing removes burning terrain and potentially clears Burn status, while Knockback 5 repositions every unit in the cone by 5 tiles. The fire-clearing utility is particularly relevant in encounters or chapters with heavy fire-based hazards, where burning tiles would otherwise continuously damage your cats. The Knockback is an added crowd-control bonus that can break enemy formations or push melee threats away from your ranged cats.

Old Extinguisher is a situational but powerful tool in fire-heavy encounters. If your team is running fire-based offense, be careful not to accidentally douse your own burning tiles or items that rely on active fire. In encounters with enemy fire-users or volcanic terrain, it's an invaluable defensive play. The knockback synergizes well with environmental hazards — pointing the cone toward a ledge or wall can send enemies into damaging positions. Save it specifically for fire crisis moments rather than using it for the knockback alone.
