Paper Rags is a very rare head armor that grants dodge chance scaling from armor, deals bleed thorns to attackers, and adds a status to every basic attack. The ArmorDodgeChance passive is particularly interesting — the more armor your cat has, the better their evasion, rewarding defensive stat investment with offensive avoidance. Combined with bleed thorns and on-hit status, this helmet punishes enemies from multiple angles simultaneously.

ArmorDodgeChance converts armor investment into evasion, meaning each point of armor adds both damage reduction and a chance to avoid hits entirely. This creates a unique dual-defensive synergy. BleedThorns makes melee attackers bleed each time they hit the wearer, applying cumulative damage over time to all who engage in melee. AddStatusToBasicAttack layers debuffs on top of every offensive hit the wearer lands.

Paper Rags is exceptional on high-armor melee builds that want to both evade and punish hits simultaneously. Stack armor-providing items (neck armor, mutations, passive buffs) to maximize the dodge conversion from ArmorDodgeChance. Pairs with Bear Trap Mask for complementary bleed-thorns coverage from both head and face slots.
