Paper Shoulder Pads

A shoulder armor from The Alley, part of the Paper set. It applies Bleed to every basic attack via AddStatusToBasicAttack, and also has BleedThorns — which inflicts Bleed on enemies that hit you in melee. The downside is severe: Flammable, Brittle, Fragile, and BreakOnElement make it extremely easy to destroy.

Two separate Bleed delivery mechanisms make this item aggressive for its tier. AddStatusToBasicAttack means every normal attack inflicts Bleed regardless of weapon, while BleedThorns punishes melee aggressors passively. The four negative tags mean it breaks easily — fire, specific element attacks, or any condition that triggers BreakOnElement will destroy it almost immediately.

Best on Bleed-focused builds that can capitalize on the dual delivery before the item breaks. Pair with other Bleed-amplifying items or abilities to maximize the Bleed stacks applied per turn. Avoid any encounter with fire or element-heavy enemies — the item will shatter before it contributes. Even on a short lifespan, the Bleed application per attack can make it worth equipping for a single tough fight.
