Scary Baby

Rare face armor from the Baby set. Inflicts a status effect on a random enemy at the start of each battle. As the face slot of the Baby set, it completes the trio with the Freezing Baby neck and Charming Baby head — together they spread three different battle-start status effects across the enemy team. A strong disruption set for aggressive openers, particularly in fights where first-turn positioning matters.

The Scary Baby inflicts Fear on its target at battle start, reducing that enemy's willingness to act aggressively or attack. Fear stacks with other debuffs applied by the rest of the Baby set, so between Freeze, Charm, and Fear, the opposing team can be severely disrupted before anyone has taken their first turn. The random targeting means you can't guarantee which enemy gets which effect, but in most fights the disruption pays off.

The Baby set rewards building around front-loaded pressure. Pair it with fast cats or abilities that deal burst damage to eliminate frozen or feared enemies before they recover. Even outside the full set, the Scary Baby's battle-start Fear is a reliable soft disable on a single random target with zero action cost.
