Wood Hat

A head armor from The Crater, part of the Wood set. It provides +2 Shield and Thorns, reflecting melee damage back at attackers, but is both Fragile and Flammable — tags that make it easy to destroy with the right element or effect.

The Thorns passive fires whenever this item's wearer takes a melee hit, dealing a small amount of damage back. Stacking this with Wood Mask and Wood Shoulder Pads means Thorns triggers from multiple sources simultaneously. The Fragile and Flammable tags are the main downsides — any fire-damage source can destroy this hat, stripping both the Shield and the Thorns effect.

The Wood Hat anchors a Thorns-stacking build in The Crater. If you're running all three Wood pieces, the combined Thorns output can passively whittle down melee-heavy enemies over time. The head slot gives it priority as a pickup — hat slots are often contested, so grab it if you're committing to the Wood set and aren't heading into fire-based zones.
