The Crater

The Crater is an Act 2 location defined by its volcanic landscape, molten rock, and dense plant-based enemy population. Reaching The Crater requires progressing through Act 1 and navigating the branching Act 2 map. The area's theme leans heavily into fire and nature, with scorched terrain tiles that can apply Burn and environmental hazards that punish careless positioning.

The enemy pool here is dominated by plant-type creatures, many of which have regeneration mechanics or can root your cats in place. Fire-element abilities and items are extremely effective in The Crater, since most plant enemies carry a natural weakness to Burn. Water-element attacks, on the other hand, tend to be less useful and can even backfire due to terrain interactions. Bringing a team built around fire damage or wide-area attacks will make these encounters far more manageable.

The boss of The Crater is Crater Maker, a massive creature with roughly 280 HP that combines ground-pound AoE attacks with summoned adds. Crater Maker can reshape the battlefield by creating lava tiles mid-fight, forcing your team to reposition constantly. Focus fire and burst damage are key to beating it before the arena becomes too dangerous to navigate.

Completing The Crater unlocks the Druid class, one of the most versatile support-oriented classes in the game. The Druid excels at healing, terrain manipulation, and nature-based abilities, making it a strong complement to aggressive team compositions. Players who enjoy a more strategic, control-heavy playstyle will find the Druid well worth the effort of clearing this challenging volcanic zone.
