Orange Fetin is the passive effect granted by the Orange Fetin disorder, one of three rare Fetin variants a cat can receive by surviving the Volcano sacrifice in The Jurassic. The passive has two components that fire independently each turn. At the start of every turn, the game rolls against a 10% base chance to apply the Uncontrollable status for one turn, handing control of your cat to the AI. Separately, whenever the cat lands a killing blow on an enemy, the StatusOnKillEnemy trigger fires, granting 3 mana and 2 HP instantly. These two effects are always active and cannot be toggled off individually.
The Uncontrollable roll at turn start uses the Conditional_BadRoll system, which factors in the cat's current Luck stat. With 5 Luck the odds sit at the listed 10%, but each point above 5 shaves roughly 0.9% off that number. Reaching 15 Luck pushes the trigger rate down to 1%, while deeply negative Luck inflates it well beyond the base rate. On the upside, the on-kill reward of 3 mana plus 2 HP triggers per individual kill in a single turn, so multi-kill AoE attacks can return 6, 9, or even 12 mana in one sweep alongside proportional healing. The mana refund does not require the cat to be player-controlled; kills secured during an AI-controlled turn still grant the resources.
From a build perspective, Orange Fetin's passive rewards cats that are built to finish off targets rather than chip them down. High-damage melee strikers and wide-area spellcasters benefit most because they convert each kill into fuel for the next ability cast. The 2 HP heal per kill is modest on its own but compounds quickly in swarm fights where 4 or 5 enemies fall in rapid succession, effectively functioning as a lifesteal mechanic tied to lethal damage. In prolonged boss fights with no adds to kill, the on-kill component goes dormant, leaving only the AI control downside active. Plan accordingly by pairing Orange Fetin cats with teammates who can generate or summon additional targets, or by reserving them for chapters with dense enemy populations.
