Status Effect
Drowsy
Falls asleep at the end of its turn.
Drowsy is a setup debuff that causes the afflicted unit to fall asleep at the end of its turn. It serves as a one-turn warning before the Sleep status takes effect, giving players a chance to cleanse it before the unit actually falls asleep. Once the turn ends, Drowsy converts into Sleep, and the unit will skip its next turn unless woken by damage.
The Drowsy-to-Sleep conversion is guaranteed; there is no chance to resist it. However, the one-turn delay gives the afflicted unit a full turn to act before falling asleep. During the Drowsy turn, the unit can attack, cast spells, and move normally. If a cleansing effect is available, using it during the Drowsy turn prevents Sleep entirely, making Drowsy significantly less threatening than direct Sleep application.
When facing Drowsy-applying enemies, treating Drowsy as an urgent warning is important. If your cat becomes Drowsy and lacks a cleanse, prioritize getting the most out of the current turn before Sleep takes over. Positioning away from enemies reduces the risk of being attacked while asleep (since Sleep can be broken by damage, positioning near allies who can hit you may actually be strategic). Drowsy is applied by sleep-themed enemies and abilities, and is less common than direct crowd control effects like Stun or Freeze.
