Internal engine status effect. A version of Divine Shield that cannot stack. While standard Divine Shield may accumulate multiple charges, this variant only ever provides a single instance of damage immunity.
When the unit takes any hit, the shield is consumed and the damage is negated entirely, regardless of how much damage the hit would have dealt. Used by abilities that grant exactly one free hit absorption without allowing shield stacking. This ensures the effect remains a single-use buffer rather than accumulating into extended invulnerability.
The non-stacking nature makes this version weaker than standard Divine Shield against multiple incoming attacks but equally powerful against a single large hit. See the main Holy Shield entry for related mechanics. Like all shield effects, Burn, Bleed, and Poison bypass Divine Shield and deal damage directly to health.
