Weakness
-2 [img:dex], -2 [img:str], -2 [img:spd]. Lasts {stacks} turns.
Weakness is a gravity-element debuff that temporarily reduces three core stats at once: -2 Dexterity, -2 Strength, and -2 Speed per application. Stacks reduce by 1 each turn, so the effect decays naturally over time. The triple-stat reduction makes Weakness one of the most impactful single debuffs in the game, simultaneously reducing a unit's physical damage output, ranged damage, and movement capability in one application.
Weakness is associated with the gravity element and is applied by gravity-element spells and abilities. The stat reductions affect all calculations that use those stats: Strength impacts melee damage, Dexterity impacts ranged damage, and Speed affects both movement range and turn order. Multiple stacks of Weakness compound these penalties dramatically, potentially reducing a powerful enemy to near-helplessness. Against enemies with already low stats, Weakness can push values into negative territory, further reducing their effectiveness.
Defensively, Weakness applied to your own cats is particularly dangerous for melee fighters who depend on Strength for damage and Speed for positioning. The -2 Speed penalty per stack can severely limit movement, making it harder to reach enemies or retreat from danger. Countering Weakness involves using stat-boosting effects like Strength Up, Speed Up, or All Stats Up to offset the penalties, or cleansing the debuff entirely. Weakness pairs effectively with other debuffs like Slow or Immobile to completely shut down an enemy's ability to both deal damage and move.
