Leprosy
Bruise 2. When you get hit, spawn a food pickup.
Leprosy gives your cat Bruise 2, meaning it takes 2 extra damage from every hit, but spawns a food pickup whenever the cat gets hit. The Bruise penalty makes the cat significantly frailer, but the food spawns provide healing resources that can offset the extra damage taken. Each hit generates food, creating a supply of healing pickups that the cat (or allies) can consume.
Leprosy is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The food generation mechanic makes Leprosy uniquely synergistic with Diabetes, which requires food each turn and grants permanent Intelligence boosts per food eaten. A Leprosy cat that takes hits regularly generates a steady stream of food to fuel Diabetes's scaling.
Strategically, Leprosy works best on tanky frontline cats with high Constitution that can absorb the +2 Bruise while generating food for the team. The food pickups benefit cats with Diabetes, Eating Disorder (doubled consumable effects), and Pica (heal from pickups). The Bruise penalty makes Leprosy poor on fragile cats that cannot afford to take extra damage. If you have a food-dependent build, Leprosy is one of the best disorders for fueling it.
