Pachysaurus [img:male]

Pachysaurus is one half of the Dino Lovers miniboss pair encountered in The Jurassic. The male Pachysaurus has 50 HP and 25 Shield, and fights alongside the female version in a co-dependent duo where attacking one causes the other to charge toward the attacker.

The male Pachysaurus carries 1 Brace status and can trample opponents. When his partner dies, he becomes enraged and the fight escalates significantly. He will relentlessly pursue whatever cat struck his partner, making target selection critical. Grapple abilities can force him to skip turns, breaking up his aggression.

Separating the pair with effects like Meat Hook prevents their mutual retaliation mechanic. Charm effects stop them from moving toward each other's attacker. Kill both Pachysaurus at roughly the same time if possible to prevent an enrage phase — one healthy Pachysaurus after the other has died will summon Piles and become significantly more dangerous than either was alone.
