Rotten Set

The Rotten Set supercharges any bug- or maggot-spawning ability by upgrading every summon to Champion tier. Champion status significantly boosts a familiar's stats and durability, turning what would be weak fodder into meaningful threats. This set excels on builds that generate bugs through abilities like Fly Set, Grub synergies, or maggot-spawning wounds, and pairs especially well with the Druid or Mother Set's familiar buffs.

Rotten Set pieces use decay and putrefaction-themed gear across head, neck, and face slots. The 3-piece bonus applies the Champion upgrade to all bugs and maggots you spawn. Champion is an elite modifier that grants the familiar significantly improved HP and damage compared to a normal version of the same creature. A Champion Fly or Champion Grub is substantially more dangerous than its base version.

Rotten Set is the capstone upgrade for insect summoner builds. Combined with Fly Set (50% per turn spawn), Grub Set (+5 HP on spawn), and Mother Set (+2 Damage, +2 HP on spawn), every fly or grub you generate is a champion with boosted HP, boosted damage, and elite stats. This creates an almost unmanageable threat for enemies if you survive long enough to build up the swarm. The Rotten Set bonus applies to any bug-type familiar regardless of its spawn source, so even accidentally spawned bugs from wounds or environmental effects gain Champion status.
