Steven Set

The Steven Set is a gag set with no practical combat benefit — equipping all three pieces simply renames your character Steven. It's a developer easter egg that has no mechanical impact on gameplay, but serves as a humorous collectible for completionists and players who want their cat to have a distinguished name.

Steven Set pieces are a trio of items themed around a specific human character named Steven. The 3-piece bonus, if it can be called that, changes your character's display name to "Steven." No stats are changed, no abilities are added, no combat effects are applied. The set exists entirely as a joke.

Steven Set should never be deliberately completed if you want to win runs — dedicating three gear slots to name-change is a mechanical loss. That said, if you randomly acquire Steven pieces and they happen to provide good individual stats, use them for their stats alone and accept the name change as a bonus. The set is a nod to developer humor and a long tradition of joke items in roguelikes. Hello Steven.
