Veiny Set

The Veiny Set converts basic attacks into bleed-inflicting strikes, adding persistent damage on top of every standard hit. Bleed ticks each turn and stacks, so high-attack-rate builds or those with bonus attack actions can quickly stack heavy bleed on priority targets. Strong in sustained attrition fights and pairs well with abilities that amplify or spread bleed.

Equipping 3 or more pieces of the Veiny Set causes all basic attacks to inflict Bleed on the target. Bleed is a damage-over-time status that ticks for damage each turn and stacks with additional applications. The set's items have a biological or vascular theme, reflecting their focus on causing hemorrhaging wounds. Because the Bleed is applied automatically on basic attacks, no additional action cost is required to trigger the debuff.

The Veiny Set is strongest on fighters who attack frequently, since each swing applies another Bleed stack. Warriors, Berserkers, and multi-hit ability users can pile up stacks quickly to deal significant passive damage each round. Combine with abilities or mutations that increase Bleed damage, extend Bleed duration, or trigger on Bleed application to compound the effect. In longer fights against high-HP enemies or bosses, the accumulated Bleed ticks can account for a substantial portion of total damage dealt.
