Brick Mask

The Brick Mask is the face armor piece of the Brick set, found in The Sewers. It shares the same stat profile as the Brick Hat: +4 Shield, -1 Speed, and Bruise 1 on any unit that makes contact. The contact Bruise punishes enemies for approaching, making this best on frontline cats holding a position rather than chasing targets.

Stacking Brick set pieces multiplies the passive contact-damage effect. The Speed penalty across multiple pieces can become significant, so weigh whether the accumulated Shield and Bruise output is worth the reduced action economy. Pairs well with abilities that benefit from enemies staying close.

With both the Brick Hat and Brick Mask equipped, each contact applies Bruise 1 twice, rapidly stacking Bruise on any melee enemy that engages. Bruise reduces enemy defenses, making subsequent attacks deal more damage. A stationary tank wearing both pieces in The Sewers can punish enemies for closing in while taking very little net damage thanks to the +8 total Shield from both pieces. The -2 SPD combined is a real cost, but on slow tanks already committed to holding a position, it's barely noticeable.
