Elite Buff: Speedy (Boss)

Internal engine status effect. This is the boss-specific variant of the Speedy elite buff. Speedy grants the enemy increased movement speed and potentially higher initiative, letting them act sooner and cover more ground. The boss version amplifies these movement bonuses further.

A Speedy boss can cross the entire battlefield in a single turn, making backline cats vulnerable from the very start of combat. The enhanced initiative means the boss often acts before your cats, getting in attacks and positioning before you can react. This eliminates the safety of distance-based strategies that rely on the boss being slow.

Slow effects and Speed Down debuffs directly counteract the Speedy bonus. Crowd control like Stun and Freeze prevent the boss from using its enhanced movement. Position your team defensively from the start since the boss will likely reach your formation on turn one. The standard version, Elite Buff: Speedy, applies to non-boss elites with a smaller speed boost.
