Punctured Eye
+10% miss chance.
Punctured Eye inflicts a permanent +10% miss chance on your cat's attacks. This flat accuracy penalty means roughly one in ten attacks will miss their target entirely, regardless of any other accuracy modifiers. The miss chance is constant and applies to all attacks including basic attacks, spells, and abilities.
Punctured Eye is heritable and belongs to the injury category of disorders. It can pass from parent to kitten through breeding or be acquired through events and the Organ Grinder's Disorder Syringe. The +10% miss chance stacks with other miss sources like Gambling Addiction (+33%) and Distemper (cumulative +5% per battle), potentially making the cat extremely inaccurate if multiple miss penalties overlap.
Punctured Eye is a purely negative disorder with no compensating benefit and should be replaced when possible. The Shining (attacks cannot miss) completely negates the miss penalty. The 10% miss rate is annoying but not crippling on its own, making it one of the milder negative disorders. On high-attack-speed cats, the occasional miss matters less since volume compensates. On slow, heavy hitters, each miss is a significant damage loss.
