Husk

The Husk is a durable endgame enemy found in The End chapter with 10 HP and 10 Shield, giving it an effective health pool of 20. Its hollow, drained appearance belies its aggressive melee capabilities: Husks unleash multi-hit combos that can rapidly deplete a cat's health in a single engagement. They are one of the core threats in The End, appearing frequently in the chapter's encounters.

The Husk's most dangerous mechanic activates on death: when killed, it transforms into an Edema rather than simply being eliminated. The Edema then begins its own countdown timer, and if not destroyed in time, it evolves into another Husk, creating a frustrating cycle of death and rebirth. This means killing a Husk only delays the threat unless you also deal with the resulting Edema before its timer expires.

To break the Husk-Edema cycle, kill the Husk and then immediately destroy the resulting Edema before it can transform. Shield-bypassing abilities are valuable since they skip the 10 Shield and go straight to the 10 HP health pool. In encounters with multiple Husks, coordinate your kills to avoid having too many active Edemas counting down simultaneously. The Husk is related to several variants including Husk G, Conjoined Husk, and Player Cat Husk Shade.
