Spewer is a 125 HP miniboss found in The Lab, functioning as one of two potential final bosses for Act 3. It attacks by lobbing projectiles at five random tiles per turn, and consumes pills that spawn throughout the arena to permanently buff its attacks with additional status effects.
Three pill types appear during the fight: Creep (adds Poison and Creep tile creation), Tar (adds Brace and Tarred status), and Lava (adds Speed and Burn). Each consumed pill permanently stacks the corresponding buff, so a Spewer that has eaten several Lava pills fires burning projectiles at high speed across the arena. It also inhales the nearest cat when struck in a straight line, trapping them inside until they attack out or another cat strikes Spewer.
Destroying pills before Spewer can eat them is one of the highest-priority tasks in this fight. Attack diagonally to avoid triggering the inhale mechanic. Avoid Kinetic Spikes, which can create an endless inhale loop. Once Spewer has eaten multiple pills of the same type, its damage output becomes extreme — prioritize pill denial over all other tactics to keep the fight manageable through 125 HP of sustained combat.
