Cardboard Necklace

The Cardboard Necklace is the neck armor piece of the Cardboard set with +2 Shield. Unlike the Cardboard Hat and Mask, it is not Flammable — only Fragile and Brittle when wet. That's a slight edge in fire-heavy encounters, though the core Cardboard set weaknesses still apply. Wear it for set bonus contribution rather than the Shield alone.

In the neck slot, Cardboard Necklace is the least dangerous of the three Cardboard armor pieces since it skips the Flammable property. Fragile makes it susceptible to high-damage hits, and Brittle when wet creates a vulnerability to water-type attacks or environmental Wet status. Still, for a set-completion piece it's the safest of the trio in fire-present zones.

Equip it when you're actively building the Cardboard set and have already committed to the hat and mask. The neck slot generally has strong alternatives — Scarf's ice immunity, Fortune Necklace's coin income, or Leather Choker's set synergy — so Cardboard Necklace competes poorly in isolation. Only commit to it if the Cardboard set bonus meaningfully improves your build, and be cautious about water-themed encounters where Brittle becomes an active liability.
