Internal engine status effect. This is the boss-specific variant of the Depressing elite buff. Depressing creates a strong depression aura that significantly reduces nearby cats' stats. The boss version amplifies the debuff radius or intensity, making proximity to the boss even more punishing.
The Depressing Boss aura can reduce your cats' Strength, Dexterity, Speed, and other stats to the point where they deal minimal damage and struggle to land hits. This makes melee-focused teams especially vulnerable, as they must remain close to the boss to attack while suffering the full brunt of the stat reduction. The wider radius of the boss version may mean even ranged cats cannot fully escape the debuff zone.
Stack All Stats Up and individual stat buffs to counteract the depression aura, though you may need multiple sources to fully offset a boss-strength debuff. Damage-over-time effects like Bleed, Burn, and Poison are not affected by your cats' reduced stats, making them reliable damage sources against a Depressing boss. Burst strategies that minimize time spent in the aura are also effective. The standard version, Elite Buff: Depressing, applies to non-boss elites with weaker parameters.
