Boss

Flushmaster

Pushes player units toward hazardous tiles (spiky rocks, edges). Modest personal stats — the environment deals damage. Does not attack directly.

Flushmaster is one of two mini-bosses encountered in The Sewers alongside the Rat King. Rather than a traditional enemy, Flushmaster is a sentient pile of water controlled by a Dip riding on top, and its entire combat identity revolves around an environmental gimmick: instead of attacking your cats directly, it pushes them across the board toward hazardous tiles like spike rocks and ledges. The arena itself does Flushmaster's killing for it, making spatial awareness far more important than raw damage output.

Flushmaster's signature attack, Flush, summons a massive wave in the direction it is facing that pushes all units up to 10 tiles until they hit an obstacle. It always uses Flush on its final turn of the round, then teleports to a random tile, faces a random direction, and ends its turn. This makes the fight about reading where Flushmaster is aiming and preemptively positioning your cats so they will not be swept into hazards. The randomized teleport and facing after each Flush means you need to react fresh every round rather than settling into a fixed safe spot.

Ice magic is the premier counter to Flushmaster: freezing it causes the turn where it would normally Flush to be spent thawing instead, trapping it in a vicious cycle of freeze and thaw that completely neuters its offense. Perhaps the most entertaining interaction in the game, cats with the Scatological disorder can eat the Dip riding on Flushmaster's head, instantly ending the fight. Beyond these counters, keep your team near the center of the arena to minimize the distance any Flush can push them, and prioritize high-mobility classes that can reposition quickly after being displaced.
