The Destroyer is the second phase of The Creator's boss fight in The Infinite, manifesting after the clone trial phase is completed. With 500 HP, 9 ATK, 3 SPD, and 5 LCK, The Destroyer is a formidable melee combatant with a unique directional shield mechanic that demands multi-angle attack coordination from the player's team. This phase transitions the fight from the mirror-match puzzle of the clone trial into a more conventional but still mechanically demanding combat encounter.
The Destroyer's main attack is a melee swipe that hits two tiles in front of him. His signature defensive mechanic triggers after each hit: he raises his shield in the direction the attack came from, blocking all subsequent attacks from that angle. This means hitting him repeatedly from the same direction is pointless after the first strike. Your team must spread out and attack from multiple angles, rotating through positions so that each hit comes from a new direction before the shield can block it. If he faces one direction after blocking, your next attacker should strike from the sides or behind.
DoT effects can bypass the directional shield entirely, making Bleed, Poison, and Burn extremely valuable for sustained damage between positional attacks. Classes with mobility abilities excel at rotating around The Destroyer to find unshielded angles. After The Destroyer falls, the fight continues with The Father and The Child phases, so conserve healing resources and ability charges rather than burning everything in this phase. Spread positioning is both offensively optimal (for multi-angle attacks) and defensively necessary (to avoid his two-tile melee swipe hitting multiple cats).
