The Mega Tumor is a massive 20 HP growth found in The Core that combines the Trample ability with steadily increasing mobility, creating an escalating threat that becomes harder to escape with each passing turn. With 6 damage, 2 base movement, and complete immunity to Fire damage, the Mega Tumor shuts down one of the most common damage types while growing progressively faster. Its melee attacks inflict both Immobile (1 stack) and Bruise (1 stack), locking down cats it manages to reach.
At the end of each of its turns, the Mega Tumor gains +1 movement range, meaning it starts at 2 movement but climbs to 3, 4, 5, and beyond as the fight continues. Combined with its Trample ability, which damages everything it moves through, this escalating speed means the Mega Tumor covers more ground and tramples more targets with each passing turn. The Immobile debuff from its melee strikes prevents hit cats from repositioning, while Bruise reduces their damage output, creating a compounding disadvantage for any cat that gets caught.
Since Fire damage is completely ineffective, switch to non-Fire damage types like Poison, Ice, or physical attacks. Multi-hit and area-of-effect abilities are recommended for burning through its 20 HP quickly before its movement ramps up to dangerous levels. The Hunter's Scatter Shot and Line Shot, as well as the Mage's Meteor Storm, are specifically effective tools for dealing with the Mega Tumor. Eliminating it early in the fight is critical, as by turn 4 or 5 its movement will be high enough to reach any point on the battlefield while trampling everything in its path.
