Item Set
Sludge Set
Gain +2 Shield at the end of each turn.
The Sludge Set generates Shield passively at the end of each turn, providing steady protection that doesn't require taking specific actions. This sustained shielding is especially effective in longer battles where the cumulative gain outpaces burst damage, and it stacks well with other shield-generating abilities. A low-maintenance defensive set that rewards patience.
Sludge Set pieces use ooze and viscous slime-themed gear across head, neck, and face slots. The 3-piece bonus grants +2 Shield at the end of each turn. This is mechanically identical to Monk Set's bonus in amount and likely timing, creating a functional duplicate for Shield regen. Sludge pieces may offer different individual stat profiles than Monk pieces, giving players a second option to achieve the same per-turn Shield regen.
Sludge Set is functionally a counterpart to Monk Set — both provide +2 Shield per turn, and if you can somehow complete both (with Rune of Perthro counting toward multiple sets), you'd gain +4 Shield per turn in total. In practice, choose whichever set's individual item stats better complement your build's other needs. The per-turn Shield regen makes both sets strong in prolonged fights, and the combined Shield economy over 5+ turns rivals starting Shield from static bonuses like the Lead or Scrap Set.
