Disorder

Gastritis

At the end of your turn, fart and Poison all adjacent units.

Gastritis causes your cat to fart at the end of each turn, poisoning all adjacent units. The fart applies Poison to every unit standing next to your cat, whether friend or foe. This creates a passive area-of-effect damage aura that rewards aggressive melee positioning against enemies but can harm nearby allies if they are too close.

Gastritis is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The Poison application happens automatically every turn, making it a reliable source of damage-over-time against adjacent enemies. This disorder belongs to the stomach category alongside Crohn's Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Eating Disorder, and Dysentery.

Strategically, Gastritis is strong on melee frontline cats that are always surrounded by enemies. The passive Poison application adds free damage without spending actions, effectively giving your cat a bonus attack every turn against adjacent targets. Keep allies away from the Gastritis cat to avoid friendly fire poisoning. It pairs well with Feline Aids (Poison 3 on basic attacks) to stack Poison rapidly on melee targets. The disorder is less useful on ranged cats that stay away from enemies since the fart only affects adjacent tiles.
