Disorder
Soulless
You are immune to buffs and debuffs. When you die, you don't leave a corpse.
Soulless makes your cat completely immune to both buffs and debuffs, and when the cat dies, it does not leave a corpse behind. The buff and debuff immunity is a powerful double-edged sword: enemies cannot debuff you with poison, weakness, slow, or any other negative status, but allies also cannot buff you with stat boosts, shields, or healing-over-time effects. This makes the cat entirely self-reliant.
Soulless is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The no-corpse clause prevents Necrophage from consuming the body and blocks any resurrection or revive abilities from being used. This is less impactful than the buff/debuff immunity, which fundamentally changes how the cat interacts with the combat system.
Strategically, Soulless works best on independent cats that do not rely on team support. If your cat fights alone or does not need ally buffs, the debuff immunity is a massive advantage since many dangerous enemies rely on debuffs to threaten the player. Soulless completely negates disorders like Covid, The Flu, and Addict that apply debuffs at battle start. However, it prevents healing-over-time, All Stats Up from allies, and shield buffs, so the cat must sustain itself through other means like lifesteal or Pica.
