Item
Receiver Antenna
Quest
Receiver Antenna is a quest-rarity head armor obtained by defeating the C-800 house boss in The Future. Its flavor text, "Place it far in the past. All events cause special happenings," is a direct hint at its dual purpose: it is both a functional piece of combat equipment and the first of three quest items required to unlock The Infinite, the secret endgame area. The antenna provides +8 Shield, grants Metal status, and belongs to both the Bionic and Cyborg item sets alongside its sister items, Transmitter Antenna and Signal Amplifier.
In combat, the Receiver Antenna grants +2 Charge every time an ally spends mana. In spell-heavy parties where multiple cats cast each turn, this stacks rapidly, building a significant Charge economy for any cat with Charge-scaling abilities or passives that trigger at Charge thresholds. A four-cat mage team can generate +8 Charge per round with ease. The antenna also converts all random events into weather events while equipped, which removes potentially dangerous non-weather encounters but also blocks beneficial ones. The Metal status it grants may interact with other Metal-synergy items and abilities.
The Receiver Antenna's true purpose is to be carried into The Jurassic and placed atop the active volcano during the Volcano event. The "Place Antenna" option requires a QUEST stat check: success completes the time signal ("The future and the past now meet up!") and progresses toward unlocking The Infinite. Failure kills the cat and destroys the antenna, forcing you to defeat C-800 again to get a replacement. Always assign your highest-QUEST cat for this. The full unlock chain requires placing all three quest items: the Receiver Antenna on the Jurassic volcano, the Transmitter Antenna (from C-1000) in The End, and the Signal Amplifier (from the Fuhrer) in The Rift. Completing all three joins past and future, opening the path to The Infinite.
